Focus: Human Optimization
Idea Exchange
For years, I have been fascinated with what I would call “idea acceleration.” How can we best increase the manifestation of ideas in individuals and how can we optimize the identification and adoption of great ideas to improve our collective tomorrow?
To that end, this site includes an “idea exchange.” The intention is to share ideas that I am willing to let others create. It will be exciting to see if this concept succeeds, and whether it can be expanded to include other people’s visions. ~ Erik
How Good Can It Be?
By asking the question, “How good can it be?” we begin to create a path toward optimizing our life. The challenge then becomes how best to define what “it” is. How good can this paragraph be? How good can my mind, my body, my spirit and heart be? How kind can I be?
It seems there are endless opportunities to make our lives better in every moment. However, by leveraging technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI,) we can maximize our efforts with what to focus on. In turn, that focus can lead to exponential person growth. ~ Erik
Honor Tomorrow
I like to think of the past me, the present me, and the future me as three different people. In fact, I refer to myself as Erik 1 (past), Erik 2 (present) and Erik 3 (future).
This view allows me to orient my life toward making my future self feel grateful that I have done my best for him today. I see my role as Erik 2 is to make Erik 3’s life as good as it can be.
Related Intention: I will honor tomorrow by doing my best to enable my future self to feel grateful for the work I have done today. ~ Erik
Applied Technology
The Better Now mobile application is available in both the Apple App Store, and in the Android Play Store. Our new medical product “The Health Science Index” is being tested on the Android platform.
These new “life optimization” tools uncover three of the biggest obstacles which have been blocking progress in users and patients. As participants work on areas of focus, the results become transformational, affecting wellbeing and overall quality of life. ~ Erik
The Value of Questions
“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask… for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.” – Einstein
True North as a Beacon
True North is my way of describing how good life can be if I make ideal choices. Manifesting an ideal future is obviously impossible to achieve. Yet, it does not negate the extreme benefit of seeing where I can head toward, if I wish to vastly improve by life. As I surf the now, I can see in the present moment where I am related to True North, by asking if I feel I am honoring tomorrow or dishonoring tomorrow. From the resulting perspective, I adjust my intention, actions and thoughts toward better envisioning and manifesting. ~ Erik
Surfing the Now
I don’t surf, but it is an amazing metaphor to describe the present. Imagine standing on a surfboard with the front of the board representing the future, the back of the board – the past, and the middle – the present. If we move too far back or forward, we get caught up in the past or future, we lose sight of the present.
To get back to center, I do my best to focus on gratitude and breath. Through such intentional appreciation of the universe and deliberate breathing, I find my balance in the now is easily restored. With this stance, I can lean a bit forward, as I alter my course (choices,) that can then manifest my imagination. ~ Erik
